During our visit to the Sablaale IDP camp in Sablaale, we discussed possible solutions to address the challenging conditions faced by the residents. We met with the refugees, and it was clear that their living conditions were extremely poor. They respectfully requested that we convey their message to international donors.
We have been advising the displaced individuals in Barawe district on the importance of educating their children. The community expressed several critical needs:
- They lack access to education.
- They have not received any special aid or relief.
- They are in desperate need of clothing suitable for cold weather and rainy conditions.
- Their children urgently need educational services, as they currently do not have access to comprehensive education.
The Situation in Barawe
The refugee camps in Barawe are struggling immensely and require significant assistance, as well as regular support and updates. We sincerely urge international donors to listen to these voices and extend their support to improve the conditions in these communities.
